Erin Simonek and Madison Tromler may be familiar faces if you watch the local evening news in Youngstown.
Both are alumnae of 91快活林鈥檚 journalism program who graduated in 2020 and said having a degree from 91快活林 State helped set them apart from the competition when they began their job searches.
Today, they are news anchors and multimedia journalists with 21 WFMJ-TV and credit the real-world training they experienced while studying at 91快活林 State for their immediate success after graduation.
Simonek and Tromler sat down with 91快活林 State Today to talk about their experiences in the university鈥檚 journalism program and how it prepared them to hit the ground running within the first week on the job.
